Celebrating Club Spirit: 4×4 Highlights Around the Nation

September 2025

Spring is here and the adventure spirit is back. Across the country, clubs have been busy with trips, training, community events and cultural engagements—reflecting ARMA’s pillars of Freedom, Community, Advocacy, Responsibility and Heritage. ARMA’s management team is also refining our core pillars and roadmap to strengthen what ARMA represents and how we serve recreational motorists.

Dear ARMA members,

We’re rolling out our new branding—starting with updates to the ARMA website and recent outdoor shows—and we’ll continue to share opportunities to engage with the brand. From the red dust of the Karara Rangelands to the stony shores of Kangaroo Island, the past few months have shown what makes this community special.

1. Club & Association Highlights (September 2025)

Isuzu 4×4 Club of WA (WA) – Karara Rangelands Expedition

In early September, members undertook a five-day journey through the Karara Rangelands, kicking off with a social night at the Koorda Drive-In. The trip combined rugged terrain with community spirit, showcasing the club’s passion for remote exploration and camaraderie.

Isuzu 4×4 Club of WA (WA) – Perth 4WD & Adventure Show Prep

Club volunteers are preparing marquees and displays for 5 November—an opportunity to connect with the wider 4WD community and showcase club activities.

AJS MotoTrials Club of WA (WA) – Centenary & 2025 Calendar

Fresh off its 100-year centenary, the AJS MotoTrials Club released its 2025 calendar and continues to promote observed trials riding across WA, fostering skill development and community engagement.

Mitsubishi 4WD Owners Club of WA (WA) – Monthly Meetings & Trips

With over 85 active memberships, the Mitsubishi 4WD Owners Club of WA maintains a full calendar of meetings and day trips that promote safe, responsible off-roading while building a supportive, knowledgeable community.

4WD Queensland (QLD) – Conservation & Community Initiatives

The Queensland Association of Four Wheel Drive Clubs continues conservation leadership through its C.A.R.E. program and the Fraser Island Clean-Up. The association held its AGM on 28 August, where a new committee was elected to guide the organisation into its next chapter.

Sydney Districts 4×4 Club (NSW) – Upcoming Trips & Training

The Sydney Districts 4×4 Club has a packed calendar, including Stargazer Trails, Wyong Valley, Rydal Exploration, Bendethera, Ranger Bob, Colo/Hawkesbury, Halloween Special, The Pinnacle and Scenic Bushwalks. The club is also updating its basic theory training course and developing a new photo gallery to showcase member adventures.

2. Club Highlights via Social Media

  • Newcastle Land Rover Club (NSW) – (Facebook only) Hosted a monthly meeting at 4WD Industries, strengthening member connections and sharing trip stories.
  • Red Dog Four Wheel Drive Club (WA) – (Facebook only) Active in Karratha with committee updates and community engagement.
  • South West 4WD Club (WA) – (Facebook only) Shared throwbacks to Yeagarup and Brunswick mud runs.
  • Tank 4WD Club Victoria (VIC)tank4wd.club Held their first Zoom meeting as a newly formed club.
  • National Association of Caravan Clubs (National)nacc.asn.au Celebrated the 18th National Rally with caravanning Olympics and community events.
  • All Terrain Adventures (National)atai.au Posted updates on recent challenges like Coniston and 3 Lakes.
  • All Wheel Drive Club of Sydney (NSW)awdc.com.au Announced a Remote Area First Aid course and a Maralinga expedition.
